Sonakshi Sinha new film Oh My God
The very beautiful actress Poonam jhawer of the fame ‘Na Kajre Ki Dhar’ song from the super duper hit
Film “Mohra”. Poonam Jhawer, whose short but impactful appearance opposite Suneil Shetty, left the audience thirsting for more! So here is some good news as she makes her impressive entry in Paresh Rawal’s much awaited movie ‘OMG’ ‘Oh My God’. Just like her elegant, soft and yet strong persona, the character Poonam is playing in the movie ‘OMG’ is appropriate according to it.
Poonam will be sharing screen space in the company of popular stars such as Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal, Mithun Chakraborty, Mahesh Manjrekar, Govind Namdeo and others. It is being said that an exclusive look has been particularly designed for Poonam in the film. All those who have seen the trailers of upcoming film OMG “OH MY GOD” are sure to have chuckled at seeing Mithun Chakraborty, Poonam Jhawer and Govind Namdeo playing the stereotypical God men or God women, in Poonam's case.
The history of the blockbuster film ‘Mohra’ will repeat, as Poonam will be seen once again for the second time with Akshay and Paresh in the same Film. Reportedly the Director of the film Umesh Shukla himself recommended the name of Poonam for the preferred role to the producers of the movie after he saw some stunning pictures of Poonam and thought that she was apt for the look he needed for his character in the film ‘Oh My God’. Director Umesh Shukla is also a big fan of Poonam since ‘Mohra’.
When we managed to track and get in touch with Poonam, we found her quite cheerful and asked her about re-uniting with Akshay and Paresh and also her role in “OMG”, she said , "I cannot disclose the contents but it will surely create a lot of Hungama in the industry and amongst the masses. I play one of the main characters (along with Mithunda, Pareshji, Akshay, Govind Namdeo, Mahesh Manjrekar and others.). About Akshay, as you know I did not have any scenes with him in ‘Mohra”, but it is great to be back with him on the same platform.”
However, what many might not know is that Director Umesh Shukla actually made these actors watch spiritual and devotional TV channels to get inspired and perfect their role on how actually the real spiritual leaders talk and behave in real life. Confirming the news, director Umesh Shukla said that he wanted actors Mithunda, Poonam and Govind to observe the mannerisms of such God men and spiritual talkers so that it could help them with their roles. On the other hand, it is also being said that the roles played by Mithun Chakraborty and Poonam Jhawer are apparently based on the well-known spiritual leaders such as Sri Sri Ravi Shankar and Radhe Maa respectively, but nothing is being yet confirmed. According to the sources, respective disciples are quite worried that their idol is not being represented in bad light. However the makers are requesting the followers to wait till the movie releases and then judge.
‘OMG’ is officially based on Paresh Rawal’s critically acclaimed and victorious directorial Gujarati play ‘Kanji Virrudh Kanji’, which was as well remade in Hindi as ‘Krishna Vs Kanhaiya’. Kanji Virrudh Kanji is a tale on the subject of the clash between an atheist and God. Paresh Rawal enacts the role of a person who is a nonbeliever of God and Akshay Kumar himself plays the role of modern-day Lord Krishna.‘OMG’ OH MY GOD! Is a satire on religious superstitions and rituals, and this Film is produced by Grazing Goat Productions, Viacom 18 and S. Spice, the movie is all set to release in theatres on September 28, 2012.
