Punit Balan buys the Pune Jaguars team in the 3rd season of Tennis Premier League

 

Shankar Marathe, Mumbai - 10 March, 2021 : Punit Balan wears multiple hats when it comes to his business interests and his passion for sports.

The 3rd season of Tennis Premier League will have Punit Balan, as the owner of Pune Jaguars along with Mrs Sonali Bendre Behl as the co-owner. The league was launched in 2018 and has had two very successful seasons.

Tennis Premier League from the onset has been a huge success in terms of participation of the best tennis talent in the country, patronage of celebrities, active involvement of team owners and this has certainly added to scaling up the tennis league at a different stature.

The league has also been having Wheelchair tennis participation and the support of many well known celebrities.

Last season’s winners were Pune Warriors which is now renamed to Pune Jaguars for the 3rd season. With Pune Jaguars, there shall be – Mumbai Leon, Bengaluru Spartans, Chennai Stallions, Delhi Binny’s Brigade, Gujrat Panthers, FineCab Hyderabad Strikers and Punjab Bulls

Punit who is a keen sports enthusiast and has been supportive of group sports and individual talent in different forms of sports. Punit opined that he was very happy to be a part of TPL and that his entry into season 3 onwards was keeping in mind his policy of being supportive of different sports and hopes that TPL shall bring into focus genuine talent which will flourish at national and international levels.

Co-owner of Pune Jaguars actor, author and cancer survivor Mrs Sonali Bendre Behl and founders of the league Kunal Thakkur and Mrunal Jain have welcomed Punit into this season 3 and they are confident of season 3 having a bigger impact with super talent coming forward and the game of tennis gaining popularity at national level.
