Pia Bajpai bags 'Yeh Laal Rang' in Starring Randeep Hooda

Pia Bajai, a renowned face from the ad world and who is currently being seen in Gaana.com commercial, is all set for a grand debut in B-Town.  She is the leading lady of Syed Ahmad Afzal’s next film titled Yeh Laal Rang, which recently went on the floors. The film has Randeep Hooda and Akshay Oberoi playing the protagonist. Set in the locales of Karnal (Haryana), the film deals with the blood mafia and rides completely on its content. Pia, who hails from Etawah ( UP),  is very much excited to be a part of this project. She says, “I couldn’t have asked for a better debut.”

On being quizzed about how the role landed in her kitty, she adds, “I was very much keen to do a content driven film. I had seen Afzal’s debut film Youngistaan and pretty much sure that he is capable of making a good film. I auditioned for the role and fortunately it landed in my kitty. Plus, I think a lot of credit goes to Kunal M Shah and Lovely Singh as well, who helped me immensely in bagging this project.”

Talking about her role in the film, she says, “I am playing a girl from Saharanpur. My character is very innocent yet strong in its own way. You will see me in a non-glamorous avatar without any make-up.”

Is she excited or nervous about sharing screen space with Randeep? “Well, I am very much excited. He’s a chilled out person and I know it will be a wholesome learning experience for me,” she says.

Ask her if there is any particular actor or filmmaker she is keen to work with? “I am very much greedy. I want to work with everyone. Plus, I would look at the entire package, i.e. a good script, a good filmmaker and of course the content. I would go for a good team rather than a particular name,” she signs off.
