HOME STAY- A THRILLER-SUSPENSE RELEASING ON 24 th JUNE ALL OVER

Miracle Movie Makers’ HOME STAY (Hindi) is releasing all over on 24 th June. The film is written and directed by Santosh Kodenkeri and produced by Siddu Konnur and Mahesh Hubbali. Cast: Sayali Bhagat,Ashmit Patel, Shruti,ravi kale and others. Dialogue: Kumar Amit. Music: Ashly Mendonca.

The film’s Kannada version with the same title and heroine Sayali Bhagat in the female lead is also opening simultaneously on June 24 th all over Karnataka alongwith rest of India (where Hindi version is releasing). The film’s Tamil version DHIGIL starring Ashok Kumar,Sherin ,Ravi kale and Shruti is releasing on July 1 st all over Tamilnadu.

A BRIEF INTRODUCTION ABOUT SANTOSH KODENKERI

Writer-director Santosh Kodenkeri has learnt the basics on filmmaking from leading advt. short maker Rohit Manjrekar whom he assisted for 5 years. Santosh became an independent advt. short maker and has already directed short advt. films like NTBC,KPL (Karnataka Premiere League), Industrial films,education fims, many documentaries etc. before he turned an independent filmmaker with HOME STAY.

What is the film HOME STAY about ?

The film is a thriller-suspense drama of a girl (Sayali Bhagat) who is ataying alone in a bungalow which has scary elements and how she faces them. Ashmit Patel is the film’s hero who appears in three different shadows and what is he upto is revealed in a thrilling manner in the film. The film also has one song shot with 1000 candles in the exotic locales of Coorg, Mysore for 25 days and for another 10 days in Mumbai and Bangalore locales.Many entertaining scenes are also interestingly shot and the major characters have done very well in the film, especially Sayali Bhagat who has put her heart and soul in her performance.

Why did Santosh Kodenkeri chose a thriller for his debut film ?

Santosh Kodenkeri: It is very challenging to make an absorbing thriller horror suspense drama as the screenplay has to be very tight and the characters have to portrayed in a very different way so as they jell with the the main content of the film. It is also very easy to dub the films in various other languages as the spoken dialogue is generally lesser than social or action dramas and lots of curiousity value can be added. Also VFX and EFX are highlighted in the film in a big way.The budgets have also to be a controlled one . Also distributers may earn well too in films which are modestly budgeted.

What are the plans for next film ?

Santosh Kodenkeri is already planned to make another thriller with fantasy elements and this time with many big Bollywood actors whoi will be finalized shortly.
