Hundred years of Indian cinema celebration is in the air. The Cannes Film Festival is honouring India as it celebrates the centenary of Indian cinema. On May 3, 1913, “Raja Harishchandra” the country’s first feature length film was shown in Bombay and the movie’s director, Dhundiraj Govind Phalke, is considered the father of Indian cinema. The glitzy 66th Cannes Film festival of 2013 witnessed the maximum attendance by the Indian film fraternity form Bollywood. Big B Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Vidya Balan and Sonam Kapoor were present at the festival and were seen representing India. Internationally renowned choreographer Sandip Soparrkar and his wife Jesse Randhawa were seen attending Cannes Festival and they represented the Indian Dance Community at Cannes. मुंबई - भारतीय सिनेमा उत्सव बहुत जोरो सोरे से मनाया जा रहा है. कांस फिल्म समारोह भी बॉलीवुड के सौ साल पुरे होने पर उसका सम्मान कर रहा है। 3 मई 1913 को, "राजा हरिश्चंद्र" द्वारा बनाई गयी देश की पहली फीचर फिल्म बंबई में दिखाया गया था और फिल्म के निर्देशक, धुंडिराज गोविंद फाल्के, भारतीय सिनेमा के जनक माने जाता है. 2013 की चकाचौंध 66 वें कांस फिल्म समारोह में भारतीय फिल्म फिल्म के काई बड़ी हस्तिया से अधिक से अधिक उपस्थिति देखी गई. बिग बी अमिताभ बच्चन, ऐश्वर्या राय बच्चन, विद्या बालन और सोनम कपूर समारोह में मौजूद थे और भारत का प्रतिनिधित्व करते देखा गया था. अंतरराष्ट्रीय स्तर पर प्रसिद्ध कोरियोग्राफर संदीप सोपरकर और उनकी पत्नी जेसी रंधावा कान महोत्सव में भाग लेने देखा और वे कान में भारतीय नृत्य समुदाय प्रतिनिधित्व कर रहे थे. वे विदेशी भारतीय नृत्य युगल के रूप में पेश किए गए. संदीप सोपरकर ने कहा की यह भारतीय नृत्य समुदाय का प्रतिनिधित्व करने हैं और कान महोत्सव के विशाल मंच पर अपनी 100 साल का जश्न मनाने के लिए कान में आमंत्रित किया जाना एक सम्मान की बात थी।" संदीप बॉन जर्
