It was fun, frolic and food unlimited when little wonder girl Jannat a.k.a Phulwa of Colors’ path-breaking show with her best friend Chunni and brother Babu, went to meet the school kids of Raje Shivaji Vidhyala in Dharavi. She might be an 8 year old but Phulwa clearly mesmerized all and sundry with her charm and head –over- shoulder attitude. While she entertained the little ones with her moves on Sheila Ki jawani and played cricket with boys, she also gave them a piece of her mind. Defying her age the sprightly Phulwa advised the young minds to count their blessings and believe in God. She ate, sang and danced with the kids leaving them truly feeling contented. The kids too, inspired by her spirit gifted her a small tulsi plant as a thanking gesture. This little Phulwa is definitely full of fortitude. Atta girl!

The love of celluloid knows no boundaries! Ask real life cousins Utkarsh Majumdar and Meenal Patel, maa and baapu of I. M. Virani on COLORS Mukti Bandhan. Shedding all their inhibitions the two veteran Gujarati actors agreed to be a part of the show based on the book of the same name by Harkishan Mehta. The cousins who portray the lovable characters of Kesar and Master, have been receiving a great response from the audience too. When asked about this unusual pairing, Utkarsh said, “Meenal is my third cousin and also ties me a Rakhi every year. But, we are actors in reel life, a role is a role and we play characters. Acting is our bread and butter and we mould into various characters.” And echoing the same sentiments, Meenal adds, “It’s just acting and nothing else. Utkarsh is my cousin from mother’s side and both of us have been acting from such a long time.
